I have seen many recipes for use in the Juice Plus way of life that call for peanut butter with our all the added rubbish that you can find in a regular jar that you get from the shop. Rather than buy a jar, why not make your own... it is so simple!

  1. Heat a frying pan. Add the peanuts and toast until golden brown.
  2. Transfer to a food blender, and blend until you have a butter consistency. You may need to scrape down the sides of the blender regularly. This process will take around 5 minutes, and you will see the peanuts go through several different stages before it gets to a butter consistency.
  3. Transfer to an air tight container and store in the fridge until needed. It will last several months if refrigerated.
Recipe Notes

You do not have to toast the nuts first, but it gives it a much deeper flavour.
